Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency
Energy saving and energy efficiency is the basic task of Not-for-Profit Partnership "Regional Energy Partnership" (REP) formed by the Agency in 2001.
REP is a non-governmental organization set up to unite efforts of companies, institutions and organizations involved in energy efficiency and energy saving processes in industries and communal energy systems.
REP's major objectives:
- to assist regional and municipal authorities in implementing programmes of social and economic development stipulating reconstruction and modernization of local energy systems
- to design and implement energy saving projects, both national and international
- to promote ESCO business in Russia
REP's services:
- Energy/ technical/ economic audits of industrial and public objects, including:
- analysis of energy supply (heat, water, electricity) and energy consumption systems
- identification and evaluation of energy losses and energy saving potential
- recommendations on energy efficiency improvement
- design of an energy saving action plan
- economic evaluation of energy saving measures
- Development of energy saving projects' financing tools
- Energy saving projects management
- Corporate analysis aimed at:
- assessing energy share in production costs
- identifying in-company financial resources for energy saving measures
- Company energy policy development
- Introduction of Energy Management System (EMS) at enterprises including:
- installation of an integrated energy metering, monitoring and evaluation system
- setting basic rates of specific energy consumption in work-in-progress/end products.

- Promotion of new energy saving technologies and equipment.
